Très Beaux Academy
Learn. Master. Grow.
Whether you’re beginning your journey as a loctician or expanding your existing services, Très Beaux Academy offers hands-on education designed to help you build confidence, refine your techniques, and deliver exceptional results. Every course emphasises healthy hair practices, precision, and an elevated client experience. Every course is taught one to one.
The Courses
Four ways to train.
Each course stands alone. Start where your skill level actually is, not where you wish it was.
Why Très Beaux
Taught by someone still doing the work.
A working loctician
Every technique taught here is one used behind the chair that week — not one remembered from a certificate earned years ago.
One to one, always
Every course is 1:1. No sharing a demonstration with a room of other students — the whole session is your hands, your questions, corrected as you work.
Healthy hair first
Techniques that protect the scalp and the loc, so your clients keep their hair — and keep coming back to you.
Questions
Before you enquire.
Do I need experience?
Only the 2-Day Loc Mastery Course is built for complete beginners. The other three assume you are already working with locs in some capacity.
How do I secure a place?
Send a training enquiry using the button below. It is free, and it goes straight to the instructor. She will reply to talk through which course fits, confirm upcoming dates, and take a deposit to hold your place. Courses are booked personally, not online.
Why can I not just book a date myself?
Because the wrong course wastes your money and your day. A short conversation first means you arrive on a course pitched at your level, with the right expectations.
What is included?
Every course is 1:1 hands-on training and includes your kit, practice on a mannequin, a certificate on completion, and ongoing support afterwards — so you can come back with questions once you start using the technique on real clients.
Will I work on a real head?
You practise on a mannequin, which means you can be corrected and start again without a client sitting there. The Speed Retwist Workshop is the exception — you bring your own client for that one, because the whole point is working to real time on real hair.
Do I need to be licensed?
Not for the foundation course. Some advanced work is better suited to licensed professionals — mention your background in your enquiry and we will point you to the right one.
Where are the courses held?
In person courses run at Très Beaux Loc Boutique. Full address and arrival details are sent once your place is confirmed.
Speed Retwist — what are the rules on bringing a client?
You are responsible for bringing a client with established locs who is due for a regular retwist. They should not need extensive repair or corrective work unless that has been agreed beforehand. There is no model fee payable to Très Beaux — whatever you arrange with your client is between the two of you.
If your client cancels or does not turn up, the training is not automatically cancelled or refunded. We can carry on with demonstration, theory and practice where possible, or discuss alternative arrangements in advance.
